So on a road you need orange?

What about standing around the camp? He didn't have orange?

Where does standing around a camp to getting on a road requires orange?

What state is this ?

Locked gate and GW just come on in poking around yalls camp?

What was he really looking for?

Sounds like a dick.

No I do not know who the judge is. He said wait 4 to 6 days for it to be processed.

I pulled up on my golf cart from a trail behind out camp (from the evening hunt). Pulled ip to the front of the camp. He was standing next to our porch when he turned on his flashlight. He immediately asked me about orange. I showed him and he said it has to be in plain sight. He checked my license and then he said all was good but he was going to give me a ticket for the orange.

Looking back I should have asked him for a pic.

If you are hunting private property unless you are walking to and from your stand you are not required to wear orange

hat's the dumbest shite I've heard. So if my little sister took a golf cart through a lease to go fishing and didn't have orange, she could get a ticket

If her fishing pole is a gun, then yes, she would get a ticket.

That's him. My question is what if I was in a truck driving back to the camp. Do I need to have my orange on while driving? If it's $25 then I will just pay and hope to never see him again. If it's more, can I ask the judge to explain why I was ticketed. I would think there is a difference between the way he got me and someone walking in the woods without orange.

Looks like a piece of shite. We had one like that here in my area of Ga that was just like him. He ticketed the wrong person & was moved to a different position the next week.

Trust me on this...he is a total wack job with a gun and badge. Don't frick with him, he will make your hunting in his territory miserable. Once you know the court date you can call the court and ask about the fine. Let it go. Like I said earlier, I live in Copiah county and know these things...you are welcome.

Great. I spend a lot of outdoor time in Copiah county.

It's gonna be difficult to bite my tongue if I run into him.

What happens if you had noticed a male figure moving around your camp before he lit you up and you had drawn on him?

Locked gate, private road, darkness... and someone is moving around the cabin?

That's more of a recipe for danger than mistakenly shooting at a deer driving a golf cart on private property.

This is the correct thing to do. GJ are all pain in the arse once you piss them off. They can find a reason to write every single hunter up if they want to bad enough. I've been written up for bullshite stuff before. In the OP's situation, GJ has been riding his place, knows it well probably. Anything that pisses him off will eventually come back around to get you.
