Anyone see any teal this weekend?

I was out on delacroix area and didn't see much of anything except a black duck or 6. I heard very low numbers in a few other places as well.

I haven't heard many good marsh reports. I'll report back about 7:00 Saturday morning with limits from Venice.

There's nothing on Catahoula because they couldn't get the water off in time for grass to grow. Gonna be a sad opening!

Catahoula

Yep it is going to be a bust this teal season. Hopefully big duck will be decent.

The rice fields in SWLA are stacked. I saw about 4k blue wing get up off of a field in Thornwell and make a circle and sit right back down. That was last Saturday.

I was in Venice two weeks ago and didn't see any teal when scouting.

I was in Venice this past weekend and will be there this coming weekend. VERY disappointed with the number of teal I saw.

Talked to a Buddy of mine last week that has land that is adjacent to Rockerfeller and he said The Refuge is holding 15k-20k teal. Said its the first time he has seen this since before Rita. Also heard good reports from sweetlake and surrounding areas of welsh/lacassine.

SWLA is the king for early season teal. Has been that way for at least 10+ years.
