Thanks guys, obviously can't hurt to err on the side of caution and attach. Only reason I wouldn't want to is to preserve the stamps as collectables. Salute, and good hunting.

What kind of license do I need and what size steel shot??

New this year you need to buy teal tags. Green, blue and cinnamon. We don't get many cinnamon in our area so you probably don't need to buy those, but if you are hunting all weekend I'd buy 10 bwt tags and 2 gwt tags.

I'm shooting #3 because I bought a case and won't have time to run to the store tomorrow, if I do I'm sure they'll be out of #6 and 7.5 lead bc of the dove hunters.

This is news to me. Can you provide some authority for this? I don't see this requirement on the LDWF site. Thanks

He was frickin with you.....you need to get tags for cinnamon teal too.

Ok but on a serious note, you don't need tags. Just your resident duck license, federal stamp, and hip. I will be shooting #6 steel. Iwouldn't shoot anything lower than #4.

If you choose to take the other advice and shoot lead, then don't worry about buying the license

I attach mine every year and don't sign it. The first year I did this we got checked by Mr. Pissy pants and he made me sign it.

........and don't worry about limits either plus shooting time is whenever you can see them. Prepare anus if caught though.

So if you have a lifetime, I guess it gets attached to your HIP.

I generally just leave the federal stamp on the card it comes on and have never had a problem. I put it and the HIP receipt in a ziploc and leave them in my shell box.

If you are going to do it, you just as soon do it right.
