Talk me out of buying a rifle please

Talk me out of going buy a tikka T3 stainless superlight .30-06 and putting the Leupold rifleman I have sitting in the safe on it.
I'm currently hunting with my dad's old remington 7600. It's a hell of a meat gun, and it weighs about 16 pounds. And it isn't mine.

I think you have come to the wrong place. 
What kind of price you gonna get on it? They had them here for $649 a while back.

I think they're 650 at cabelas.
Right now the best motivation I have to not go buy it is that it's going to be raining and I won't even get to sight it in this weekend probably.

I'll talk you into the tikka. I have a left handed 7mm mag stainless lite. Love the gun. Wish it had a metal mag but the plastic don't bother me much. It's a great gun

I had your same dilemma. Had a gun to use but it wasn't mine. I needed to own my own deer rifle.
I love my tikka t3 hunter that I got before this season. Vx2 on top makes it a hell of a gun.

I like Tikka, but is that really going to make you happy?

That's really not all that reasonable. After hunting season they are liable to be $700. Save yourself $50 and get it now.

Don't rush into a long term relationship, look around and try other guns before making a commitment. My T/C Encore drives tacks and even with a 24" barrel it is short and manageable in a box stand.
