The swoopeda also does not like to get its feet wet, so if you are in an area that typically floods or holds water the swoopeda will be leapin trying to stay dry.
I'm doomed.

Who is that? You almost killed this thread by posting that pic. Good thing I saved it because this one is worth a glance from the night time bunch.

Close. I saw a juvenile one once in a rice field near Holmwood back in the early 60s. It was about the size of an adult nutria but had large claws on its hind feet much like a squirrel. The front section however had a robust chest region like a black lab and floppy ears. The incisors were long and curved back like a javelina, with reddish brown mane.
We killed it and put it in a courtbullion.

Great post, thanks for sharing your story. Threads such as this one will be the only way we raise awareness about these deadly nuisance critters.

Agreed . We cannot rest until this natural selection outcast is eliminated from being and our children are safe.

All my energy will be going toward killing one and having a mount made of it.

I guess no one on the OB grew up watching channel 8 sports!
Ron Swoboda. That's what I think of when I see swoopeda.

Even north la's folklore creatures pale in comparison to south la's.

OK? What does that have to do with the swoopeda?
We are talking about an animal that may be rare but roams the entire state.
