Lock the gate

Put a warning sign. Try to catch them on trail cameras. If you encounter them, be very careful and think twice before acting once. If you catch them on camera, report them to wildlife and fisheries as well as the local police. Do not take the law into your own hands and shoot them unless they start firing at you or you feel as though your life is in danger...it's simply not worth it.

Boobie trap the area

Don't go to church. Go to your property and put the fear of God into them.

Like others have said, find where they park. Then as opposed to putting a round in their engine block, put a 10lbs charge of tannerite and pop it.

Put a can of Copenhagen wintergreen in a bear trap.

-start making complaints to the police
-keep fences in good order and gates locked. Block off other entrance points.
-do your best to catch them on camera. Bring this to the police (or feel free to post publicly online or in stores near you).
-try to catch them in person and chew them out and get the law on them if you can catch them in the act.

Basically the only sure fire way to get them to stop poaching is to have a constant presence. Fight them with as many ways as you can if this isn't possible.
