My problem with them is the soles. They're wayyyyyyyyy too soft and wear out very quickly.

Get the US made ones and replace them for $20 when they wear out

I've got Vibram 100s on my logging boots, and will probably go with another variant of Vibrams when I replace the soles on my slip-ons

Redwings! They are a little more pricey but last forever. I've bought other brands and they just don't hold up. Plus they've been pretty comfortable.

All sorts of places sell them. I have three pair (lace-up, Wellington steel toe and wellington non steel toe). Just ordered some Romeos this morning off Amazon. Be sure to get the "Giant" line of wellingtons.

ETA: I have been building cellphone towera for 16 years. Used to hate boots. Then OSHA cracked down on the industry. I have tried them all. Georgia boots were always the most confortable and longest lasting for me. I had some Georgia Mud Dawgs. The rubber pinched the top of my fat feet. Georgia Giant Wellingtons are def a good option. Although every person will have their preference. Regardless, put a gel insole in whatever you get.

Wolverines are made in Mexico and their quality has gone to shite in recent years. Redwing are great but are heavy and take a while to break in. Ariat are MADE IN CHINA

Justins and redwings have been my favorite.

Also Carhartt (manufactured by RedWing) with Thinsulate are great winter boots.

I've had Georgia, Doc Martens, Wolverines, etc. the Twisted X boots I wear everyday are far and away the best I've ever owned. I walk about 2 miles a day where I work. Cannot recommend them enough.

Ariat is probably the winner for trying to not spend too much. (They have a wide range of prices).

Tony llama is building up the best reputation on the industrial workforce.

Georgia boots are legit.

I like justin boots, but their steel toes aren't as good, IMO.

Get composite
