Redwing. I have a new pair now,but my last pair lasted five years of work and two pair of new souls.

I've been wearing these for about 12 years. I'm on my 4th pair. I get them at Academy for $99.

Redwing worked for 30+ years for me I even wear them around the house

I've been wearing them for 20+ and they don't make anything better. Not the most comfortable, but will outlast anything else. You can spend the $160 for Redwing once ever 1 1/2 to 2 years(now they last me 3 or 4 years) or buy 2 or 3 pair of anything else every 4 months. The oilfield runs on Redwings.

I'll vouch for Redwings and Timberland, too. Timberland boots are a little more affordable. Doc Martens also aren't bad, maybe not quite as durable as the others.

For comfort, yes but imo they don't hold up in the field.

It depends what you do. If you're an office guy who needs steel toes just because the man says so, get the most comfortable thing you can find and don't worry about durability. The worst made boots on earth will last for years sitting at a computer.

If you get one boot slip a year and work plant construction, you need to worry about a whole lot more.

What's sad is that they are all made in China now except for a few. And of course you'll pay more for those.

Ariat composite toe. A little pricey but you shouldn't be cheap when it comes to something you wear more than anything else. I'm always on my feet at work and cheap boots just aren't the way to go.

I have ariat steel toes and by far the most comfortable pair I've ever had. I have wide feet just make sure you get sized up correctly before you buy and you won't look back.

Twisted X

Sad day but I just put these in the dumpster after 3.5 years.

I gave these boots hell out in the field daily and they were so comfortable. A little narrow/tight fitting when I got them, but broke in pretty quickly.

Georgia boot company sells georgia boots. Justins are also comfortable and durable.

I'm pretty sure it was the twisted x, green top with white stitching, that didn't even make it close to 3 months. Maybe I walk funny or something

FWIW, don't buy Red Wings. I used to be a fan of them, but their QC took a huge dive about 3 years ago for some reason. Even the American made ones are garbage now.

Eta: I exclusively wore Red Wings for 10 years

I went through one pair in 2 weeks and another in a month and a half. Both ripped in the same spot

Get Justins with the gel sole

I used to roughneck and all I wore was red wings. I saw many worms show up in doc marten steel toes or Georgia boots.........those dudes didn't last much longer than their boots.
