Some folks having accuracy issues with them as well as one guy on Snipers hide has his bolt installed sideways from the factory. Springfield has had a lot of issues with new releases as of late. A lot of Prodigy problems. I’m sure they will get them ironed out but would stay away for now.

For what the waypoint cost you could build a much better bolt gun for the same amount of money. Buy a 700 action and go from there.

I’ve been looking at them. It is expensive but if you are building a gun with a carbon barrel and a nice stock like that, it will cost you at least that much. Still likely too rich for my blood. I’d like to try a 7 prc, supposedly they’ll be offered in that.

They do not have a .300 PRC.

I have the 6.5prc, carbon barrel, non adjustable stock. I run a suppressor on it as well. Other options are .308 6.5CM and 6mm CM.

Mine is a tack driver and action is great. Trigger is awesome as well. Overall I was looking custom but to build this gun (barrel, stock, action, and trigger) it’s way more than just buying it. Only thing I’d really change is to go proof barrel over this barrel but mine has been a good shooter so far so I haven’t messed with it.

Mine is a tackdriver. About .5 MOA with premium hunting ammo at 100 yards.

Only downside is it is a little heavier than your typical lightweight hunting rig. If you’re stalking/walking a lot I don’t know if the weight would be an issue. I hunt Ms delta with a lot box stands and the potential for shots as long as you’re comfortable shooting so this rifle was ideal for me.

TLDR: mine is a great shooter, great action, great trigger. A little on the heavier side for a hunting rig in todays world.

I bought one last spring. I am 54 years old and hunted with a Rem 700 .270 since I was in a my twenties. I now mule deer/elk hunt Colorado as opposed to hill country TX. So I justified the cost. I love the rifle. Been shooting out to 300 yards accurately. Have not tried beyond that yet. Only complaint I have is the limited caliber offering. I went with the .308 as the majority of my hunting will be deer. Took my mule deer in Nov at 200 yds in 20 mph winds.

I have it in .308 and love it. I picked it up when they first came out and we’re offering a Mil discount. But it is as good as other higher priced rifles.

At that price point it isn't much more to do a custom build. Bolt guns are easier to assemble than AR's.

I have a proof and BSF carbon fiber barrels both in .308.The proof is on my Savage ultralight and the BSF is on an AR10 build. I really can’t tell the difference except the BSF is $600 at Brownells.

I built my AR and enjoyed it. I haven’t built a bolt gun though.

I like the thought of them, but have never held one. But look at a Bergara Canyon if you’re going to spend that much money.

Crazy easy. Rem 700 action, Remage barrel, go/no go gauges and a trigger.

Screw action onto barrel, set the head space with the go gauge, install trigger (2 pins).
