My 2¢ on HiPoint.
I have a friend who is a LSP detective and a gun enthusiest. I asked him once about HiPoint and he called it a gangbanger gun. He said most of the times when he sees them in the field, is when they disarm a thug or find it hidden in their car, etc.

Already working on it. Saving up for a Ruger LCR .38 for her to carry in her purse.

Their reputation is multiple jams in the first clip if you don't clean the gun first. I didn't clean the gun but it didn't jam at that rate. everything I have read says clean it consistently and will be a good gun. So this is what I am going to do.

I've owned a high point for 10+ years, bought it as a "brush gun" for gator hunting. Cheap so if it got damamged or dropped in the water not a big loss. I have shot the shite out of it and it has not once jammed. I've had glocks, ruger, etc. jam, but my Hi-point has never jammed. I alway shoot quality ammo... or the chapest I can find

I love my ghetto lead slinger

I would say that if there is ever a time to refer to a pistol magazine as a clip, it is with a Hi-Point

So who are you planning to shoot?

Just make sure you file the serial# off before you do.

Well for that I was going to do this.

[link=(The Grey - Bang Sticks - Own it 5/14 on Blu-ray &…: https://youtu.be/BPeCa07TUj8)]LINK[/link]

So that

Isn't necessary.

I really hope that link works, wasn't sure how to pull the correct one on my phone.

I was trying to link the part of The Grey where Neeson teaches them to make bangsticks.

Wanna know a little secret? I can't tell you the last time I cleaned my XD. It has been years. At the range I just fire off what carry ammo I have in it right off the bat. Then I put a couple hundred rounds of FMJ down range. I might run a boresnake through it a couple of times, then load it back up with fresh carry ammo. But as far as field stripping it and cleaning it, hasn't been done in a while. Still no jams.

And I have a friend from a gun forum that I've been shooting with multiple times that treats his Glocks the same way. Never one malfunction or jam. And he shoots way more than I do. He said it had probably been 10,000 rounds since the last time he cleaned it.

So enjoy your Hi Point and the tendency to jam 4% of the time. I'll stick to a quality, reliable handgun when it is my life.

Last time we took my dad's S&W Sigma 40 out it jammed more than this. If I keep my Hipoint clean it may never jam again. Is it more work? Yeah. But if it fires, it fires.

I've watched COPS enough to know that it is pronounced "Hi-Pernt"
