Nah...most on here know me and know I have an '01 Dmax crew cab the run's low 12's...that is the one I'll be detuning and passing onto my son...

the 2011 is for the business(and personal use)

that would be pretty hard...

he'll need my laptop, my EFi V2 and the key to the DSP5 keyed switch I will be replacing the old switch with...

It will be stronger than stock, but I can also set the speed limiter, RPM limiter shift points etc...I won't completely neuter the truck unless he shows he can't be trusted to drive it responsibly...If he want's to race someone, he can just let me know and we'll schedule it for the track and I'll turn up the power all the way if he wants.

I know that's not what OP is doing, but a 35k truck for a 16 year old is not at all uncommon. Lots of 16 year olds with King Ranch and Raptor trucks these days.

funny you mention that...last year, a kid at my sons school when he graduated 8th grade was given a new Z06 Vette for a graduation/15th birthday present...
Doesn't even have a license yet...wtf are people thinking?
