Snake skins are usually about a 1/3 longer than the actual snake, fyi. The skin stretches.
And moth balls don't work. The best way to keep snakes out of your camper is to fix the rodent holes they crawl through. I'd rather have 10 snakes in my camper than one rat.

Whenever we had a wet summer in SWLA and we still needed to cut the hay...dad would pack a .22 loaded with ratshot in the truck in the field with us. We always ran across moccasins when it had been really wet in the low areas.

Yep. If you don't want snakes around you have to not provide the things that they need: food, water, and cover.
