Looking to get a new CC gun. $600 budget.
Should I wait for the VP9SK? I also like the FNS-9 Compact. Any other suggestions around that price range? I can get away carrying a little bigger of a gun I'm not too small of a guy (6'3 200lbs).

I think I would like more than 6 round capacity.

Get a Smith and Wesson shield. Hell, get 2.

Glock 19 or Sig p320

I have both. I have a very good holster for the Glock and it conceals well. Like you I'm 6'4" and about 220-225.

The Sig definitely has a better trigger.

I'd much prefer 15 rounds. I also have a shield with an apex trigger but will always grab the 19 first.

That, or get a P30sk or P2000sk in LEM.

How many rounds DO you want? Any other criteria?

Anything mentioned here is good. But I honestly must say I don't care for the Springfield and the rear palm frame safety. The vpnsk is probably a really good gun but if your going that big of a double stack I feel like the vpnsk and the glock 26s of the worlds are kinda too in the middle for me.

You know me we are about the same and I can just as easily carry a full size 19 and I do it everyday. The upsides to this for me are I now have a great fullsize home defense truck gun and I have a great carry gun. When the situation calls for me needing to be a little more discreet I carry my 43. I really feel this is the best option as it gives me the oppurtunity to always carry a gun and it allows me to always carry the biggest gun I can.

In terms of fullsize can't go wrong with the 19, M&P, VPN, FN, walther, sig 320.

Just my .02. If you want to get hands on me and KP have quite a few of the popular CC options.

But to be fair the glock 43 with baseplates can either be 8 or 9 rds.

I have the FNS-9C and it is great. Doesn't feel too big or bulky and I'm not a big person. I bought mine for $500. It came with 3 magazines and one extra palm grip.

I wouldn't get a single stacked. For not much more thickness you can get a subcompact or compact with around 4 more rounds capacity.

M&P shield 9mm= 0.95" thick. 7+1 or 8+1 with extension.

M&P 9c= 1.18" thick. 12+1.

I own the shield. It's a great pistol and very comfortable to carry, but my next purchase will be a compact with more capacity.

Most here have covered the bases well - if your confident that you will carry a larger gun more often, go for it.

I have two guns in my carry rotation to make sure I can carry in any attire. I have a single stack Kahr CM9 and my double stack M&P9c. Both are dead balls reliable and I'd trust my life to either one.

Practice, practice, practice...

I meant "broad" instead of "brad."

shite im sure you could conceal a glock 19. but check out the S&W shield 9mm its not a bad gun. Springfield has some nice ones (i dont like because of how uncomfortable it fits in my hand). Beretta has a Px4 strom sub compact that is a very smooth gun.
