shite like this sounds so depressing to people who don't hunt/fish.

you just can't explain it to them.

Honestly I don't think the rain is going to be as bad as predicted earlier in the week. Looking like the brunt of it is going to be tomorrow and tomorrow night.

I hope you're right. I've had a red and speck trip booked down in hackberry for a few weeks. Of course, the weather has been perfect the past week or 2, and thunderstorms at 80% this Friday and Saturday. Really hope we get a few windows to catch some fish.

Finally wash and put away decoys.
Play in the rain with a 5 year old at some point probably.
Restring a line that's been needing it.
Wishfully stare at my boat.
LSU Baseball on the radio/TV.
Glass of scotch
Few beers.

Hope so, I'll figure something out on Friday, if so I'll head there early Saturday morning. I don't even have a clue where I'm going to launch at yet.

In all likelihood, my buddy whose camp we'll be at will be with me. So I won't be alone drinking beer in the rain at night running lines and yoyos. But yeah, rain very seldom screws up my plans. I'll turkey hunt in anything, as long as the lightening is not really bad. I like a little sporadic thunder and some rain. I do not, however, enjoy being in a boat when the lightening is close. I've been caught 3 times in really bad lightening in a boat, with it popping within 50ft or so of the boat, and those times were the only times I can say I really made peace with the Lord and new I was about to meet him. One time I was sitting on a box of dynamite. I nearly had a heart attack on that one.

My garage is in need of a serious re-org. IF it actually rains, thats probably what i'll do. If the rain's light, i'm fishing somewhere.

Went out in the yak last saturday. Wind was the worst I've had to paddle in. I will not be doing that again. Maybe if I had a peddle yak or a trolling motor I would.

Fought some Class 4 rapids in PAC last weekend... shoulders like boulders

sounds like one of those rare times where a good day at work is better than a bad day fishing.
