What's the OB's opinion are they worth it? I just moved to Tennessee and am debating about getting one. However, for my age the cost is about $2k. Granted it'll pay for itself in a few years considering the cost of a regular hunting license and even sooner if I move out of state. Just curious to see if anyone has gotten them.

it's worth it. make sure that you continue to hunt/fish legally. otherwise, it's not if you get caught.

Easily worth it. I'm buying mine this summer when my fishing license expires.

Definitely worth it. License cost are going up every year.

When I got mine in 1996 it was $500

I bought one while I was a resident in LA and it has paid for itself many times over, as it has kept me from having to buy out of state license when I go back there to hunt....

as for whether it is worth it in a state where you currently live, that is just simple arithmetic. one benefit that I find is that I no longer find myself scrambling around trying to find somewhere to sell me one the day before a hunt...much more convenient than not having one.

My shite was a HS graduation present and only cost $500. Paid for itself in 5 years

Yeah, the price is what makes me question getting one. I realize it would quickly pay for itself but still.

Born in LA? You might consider the LA Native License
