Many of you know of Sportsmans Fabrication in Morgan City. If you don't, Casey, the owner, builds some of the finest aluminum boats in south Louisiana along with Hankos and Scully. Casey was seriously injured yesterday welding in his shop and had to be air-lifted to a local hospital and underwent surgery last night. All I know at this time is that he has multiple fractures to his upper and lower extremities, moderate burns to head, face and neck. Last time I talked to them, it was unknown if he had internal injuries as of yet. Im sure they will CT him before surgery. Worked with this guy for a couple years before I finished college and he is a great guy that will give you the shirt off his back. Thanks fellas!

Had surg lastnite and today. No internal injuries. The foam thats injected into the hull wasnt fully cured and its extremely flammable. He started welding and boom.

Damn, they don't let it cure before the sale? That's cray. All the best to he and his family.
Guy that owns Dockside in Chauvin was injured welding on a tank or something.
