I know this has been discussed before but what is the board's opinion on these three striker fired handguns? I've done a lot of research on these guns but there seems to be no consensus on which is the best. I need to figure out how to spend my tax refund!

TIA

PPQ and VP9 before the 320 for me. This is because the PPQ and VP9 fit my hand much better than the 320. Don't remember the 320 trigger enough to comment on it but VP9 and PPQ triggers are phenomenal.

Difference between PPQ and VP9 is almost nothing. Slight difference in triggers and polymer sights on PPQ. Shoot both and pick your poison.

I have about 10k rounds through my PPQ now. No problems

I have a p320 and love it. I did put the apex flat trigger in it but it's cheap and easy to do.

I do want a VP9 badly and will have one at some point soon.

I absolutely love my PPQ. It's the best stock trigger I've ever pulled.

It's just going to be your preference in feel. They will all perform about the same. I love my vp9 though and will get a p320 next. Wife wants a handgun so I'll take advantage of that and get her that one.

I love the feel of the VP9 in my hand. It's definitely my next handgun purchase!

One is the new army side arm and the others aren't?

I really think he's referring to the VP9 but not quite sure.

Can't go wrong with any of them. Toss up really.

If I had to choose: VP9 then PPQ then P320

I did a detailed comparison of the PPQ (thanks Hammertime) versus the VP9 (thanks Carson). Here's the link:

PPQ vs VP9

You'll find these two guns are nearly identical. To sum up the video, the PPQ has a better trigger but the sights suck. The VP9 absorbs recoil a little bit better but doesn't have as good of a trigger. It's pretty much a toss up.

I haven't done a detailed test of the 320 but it's gotten stellar reviews.

From doing some research and viewing Bapple's video, I consistently found that both the PPQ and VP9 are great pistols. I knew I wanted to suppress it in the future, so I opted for the PPQ because, at the time, the VP9 didn't have a model offered with a threaded barrel. Also, a PPQ Navy (the threaded barrel model) could be found online at the time for $499 with free shipping, which was a fricking steal. There were rumblings that they had cycling issues when suppressed, but Walther remedied this by beginning to include a separate guide rod/spring assembly for shooting suppressed. I've shot it quite a few times back to back with my buddy's VP9 and both are awesome. I group better with my PPQ, but I'm sure that's simply my familiarity with it since I'm more accustomed to it.

A bit of info that may be useful to some regarding shooting with a can. My first mag through it suppressed (GhostM in K configuration, 147gr ammo from Freedom Munitions) did not cycle well at all. Every other round or so would result in the brass wedged in the ejection port, perpendicular to the slide. Needless to say I was aggrivated, because as stated earlier I had planned all along for this to be a suppressor host. But after another mag or two it began to run flawlessly, and has ever since. So I guess it just needed to be broke in.
ETA: some pistol porn

I think the VP9 and PPQ are a significant step up from the 320

VP9 and PPQ have almost identical ergos with a slight advantage to the VP9
PPQ has slightly better trigger
VP9 has much better sights

Slight edge to VP9. If I'm buying a stock pistol and not doing anything to it, I'm going with the VP9

Did the PPQ or VP9 ever get a look by the US Gov't? Or were they too enamored w/ the transformer 320?

I don't think they were submitted and didn't fit the "modular" requirement
