I plan on hunting the point au Chenes wma for waterfowl on Friday, and have heard that there is a 25 hp restriction on the wma. Is there truth to this and how much is it enforced especially if you have a 36 hp prodrive. There is nothing on ldwf's website about it.

vessels/vehicles: Type A personal watercraft, model year 2003 and beyond, which are 8 or more feet in length, may be operated on Pointe-aux-Chenes WMA from April 1 until the Monday after Labor Day Weekend, from sunrise to sunset only. No person shall operate such watercraft at a speed greater than “slow/no wake” within 100 feet of an anchored or moored vessel, shoreline, dock, pier, persons engaged in angling or any other manually powered vessel. All boats powered by internal combustion engines having total horsepower above 25 Hp are not allowed in the Grand Bayou, Montegut and Pointe-aux-Chenes water man- agement units. Public is permitted to travel anytime through the WMA for access pur- poses only, in the waterways known as Grand Bayou, Humble Canal, Little Bayou Blue, Grand Bayou Blue, St. Louis Canal, and Bayou Pointe-aux-Chenes unless authorized by LDWF. All ATVs/UTVs, motorcycles, horses and mules are prohibited. Limited access areas: No internal combustion engines allowed from September through January. See WMA map for specific location.
That's from the hunting regs. Last time I checked 36hp was larger than 25hp. I'd be surprised if you were stopped and weren't given a ticket.

Its restricted to 25 within the compound. No hp restrictions outside the compound.

I modified my prodrive to spin at 2400 rpm by turning down the governer all the way, and fabricating this aluminum peice on the throttle. It will not spin faster than 2400 rpm, I tried. You cant remove the aluminum peice from within the boat. Think this will fly? The power curve is attached.

Haha this serious question? You will get a ticket running that 36hp motor no matter how many rpms you are turning.

You put a lot if work into something that will do nothing but make your boat slower AND get you a ticket.
