yep a healthy bear will most likely run from you in the dark like that, it would take a very hungry agitated bear to confront you like that, it is not Alaska(where we really are food there)

I like how the bear was just like "frick this" and knocked over the feeder

I was scrolling through the pics and thinking to myself that the bear was going to knock over the feeder before long.

Good luck with that shite.

Don't touch the damn thing.

I wouldn't worry too much unless you capture him on cam pretty regularly. A bear that size probably has a pretty big range he covers. He's likely 15 miles away or taking care of those pigs for ya.

My uncle had to run him out of my neighbors yard about 3 weeks ago which is about a mile a way as the crow flies.

I doubt that very seriously.

Stake him out and take care of him. That's what I'd do.

I always walk to and from my stand without using a flashlight. I just know my land and usually the moonlight is enough. Well that will prolly change this year.

nice bear

I walk in with out a ligh also, but have been seeing big black cats for 2 years now. I think I am going to start using a light (and maybe a cow bell or set of drums.)

Me and my son had a bad experience last year. One hollared at dark when we were getting out of stand.

I want bad to shoot a bear with a bow

Not sure if it is legal but these are what some folks may or may not use to rid their hunting area of bear when one appears.

Awesome pics man. He's pretty big.

I've only seen a bear in LA one time and it was while I was on a barge rig right here: LINK

Right click where you want the arrow on the map, select "what's here?". If you click the green arrow it gives you coordinates. Getting the link is as simple as clicking the little chain looking icon in the top left near the printer icon.

Dum Dum tips you put on arrows

Non-lethal arrow tips to deter dogs, bears, or whatever else you hit with them.

It will be a long time before the animal returns to that area. They associate pain with the spot it happened.

Kind of like shocking a dog with a e-collar. If you pay attention the dog will avoid that general area unless made to return to the area.

Hypothetically speaking where would a man go about acquiring some of those?
