I have an 18' Sterling Flats boat (all white). I am looking install Hydroturf on the lower deck(cockpit section). the reason im putting some in is for easy cleaning.

1) What style should i go with? ( grooved, flat, diamond etc...) I'm partial to flat for easy cleaning.

2)What color? I first wanted white, but i think it would stain pretty fast, so now im leaning towards light gray. Light blue has always caught my eye though.....

Are you going to Gator Trax and picking it up, or having them to install?
If you do it, I'd like to hear how it went. Are those all the colors,, the website I looked at didn't have that many. Aren't they close to Hammond?

Oh yeah,, it's hard for me to vote against the purples. Maybe purple on floor, yellow on boxes, sides, etc.?

Eta: aren't they $80 for a 4x6 roll with the IBM sticky backing?

Old Geauxt texted me and said to tell you to get the hot pink. I asked him why he didn't post it and he said that he didn't want people to know he liked the pink. So anyway Geauxt votes for the pink. I vote for the anything but pink, but that's just me. No offense Geuxt...

Cleans easy with a hose - pay extra for the 3M glue backing - clean your surfaces with a scrub brush and denatured alcohol. By a can of 3m industrial spray glue and apply to every corner, make sure you keep the water grooves lined up and running the way you want to drain. I did this in my previous aluminum boat and it made a world of difference fishing in the summer.

OG, I think Gator Trax only has those select colors that they show, but they do all come with 3M backing.

18' x 60",,, would have to do a splice, because roll only 48" wide,, then boxes, side of deck, etc.
Maybe only 4-5 rolls? If you're a bil, I'll give you $150 for 4-5 rolls of dark grey.

I was thinking of getting it from the Hydroturf website. My buddy has ordered from a local dealer in Gonzales, ill call both to see who is cheaper.

As far as backing , Im going to go with the 3m stuff.

Pink you say??? only if i can get a custom "hello Kitty" emblem in it.

I will be easier to clean than the floor now. it is sun beaten pretty bad. everything sticks.....

i spent about 4 hours with a buffer and compound on the decks, not sure how well that worked though with the nonskid... and its a wee bit slippery now.

I know you addressed that jcorn chick, and for the record, I said purple.

My vote would be for snow camo. I think it will look sharp and also hide any stains/scratches that you might get.

If you could keep it immaculate, I would go for the light blue.

Go with the light gray. Have that color under the gunnels on the Mav and it blends well. Seadek brand, but close to the same thing
