Red, you seem like a good dude. Congrats on the fish. I hope we get to fish together one day.
My biggest fish is a similar story; but the opposite weather pattern. It was the hottest day of the year (well over 90 at daylight). Somehow I convinced a buddy to go pad fishing with me.
I was properly ridiculed for the decision.
Ended up with two 5's, a 7, then this 11.

That's what did for half the day. Didn't get my first bite until 11:45, but it was a 3 pounder on the squarebill. I didn't put it down after that.
