What would you buy and why (brand, model, auto, O/U, etc...). I'll be doing a good bit of both and want to get a good shotgun. TIA.
Oh yea, I'm a lefty.
ETA: apparently my pricing statement was misleading. Wouldn't like to go over $6K. sorry for the confusion.

Browning citori over/under
especially if you are a lefty

if you are set on an auto find one with bottom eject

I became a much better wingshooter with 2 shells instead of 3

870 wingmaster 12 gauge. I think they make southpaw models.

ETA: I love this board. Please keep under 4 figure price. Suggestions all well into four figure pricing.

oops
I guess you are right but I only paid 900 for my citori

Ithaca pumps eject from the bottom if you want a pump, and I'm guessing can be had for less than a grand

I personally would still buy a wingmaster and spend the rest on somethjng else because I'm a cheap bastard.

If I had to spend a bunch of money on a shotgun, I would get a nice double with a fitted stock.

For <6K get 2 guns, an o/u for upland, clays etc then an auto for waterfowl. There are lots of duck hunts I wont take an OU on.
Im not going to recommend a brand other than a B gun but find one that fits you and shoot it. If your a lefty benelliis only auto option for a true lefty, if you don't mind shells in front of face browning or beretta w/ a left safety. Other than that enjoy

Larry's Pistol and Pawn in Huntsville Al. has a Benelli Montefeltro 12ga left hand that is used but looks brand new. Saw it last week. It is an older model that was imported by Heckler and Koch. It looked like it had never been shot.
I have a Monte and it is a great gun. The early H&K stamped guns are better than the new ones in my opinion.

Forgot to mention they are asking $800.

You can get a Citori O/U and a Benelli Auto Lefty model for $5k or less. I'd do that.

You need to hold a number of o/u shotguns. I would suggest a 20 gauge with 28" or 30" barrels

6k. Holy shite.

How about spending 600 on a Franchi Affinity.

ive held a bunch recently. just haven't shot a bunch. i plan on getting out to the range when it warms up (hopefully next weekend) to go through some shells. im leaning towards getting two guns now. beretta makes the A400 in a lefty version now (almost positive that will be the ticket for me). that still leaves me a pretty penny to spend on a O/U. looks like i just need to get some time behind the guns now.

If you are getting two guns it will not matter but O/U's suck in a pit blind.

Also make sure the O/U you look at is available as a left hand.
