Take my first deer with a bow. Hopefully two big does to fill the freezer.

Shooting 4-5 times a week. 15 shot sets.

Headed to the lease next weekend to put up another feeder, camera and hang a new set in a new location that has little to no hunting pressure. Also, going to scope out both places to plant two food plots. They're going to be cheap. Probably just turnips. This is my first year for plots in Texas.

Cant Wait!

What are your goals this year? Shoot more a deer with bow - last year I committed to shooting hogs if they showed up and only had opportunity on 2 deer and did not take them. still plan to shoot hogs but looking for a deer opp and may be less selective.

What have you done so far to prepare? checked bow stands, re-tightened them, climbed in and did some select trimming, refreshed mineral lick and installed trail camera last weekend.

What are you going to do in the near future? (stands, plots, etc..) monitor cameras and start shooting. two weeks before season will pull cameras and not go back till opening morning

Where ya hunting? St. Francisville, off of Sligo Road

What ya shooting? Diamond Bow - 2010 and the model escapes me but still very reliable, G5 broadheads

Still shooting my old PSE bow, but last year my son starting hunting with me with a crossbow. Killed his first deer with it last year. Hope for him to get another one early this year so I can shoot.
Already put out the feeders and cameras last week. Moved some stands around and got the camp cleaned up and sprayed Suspend for the critters.
Next week will put out two pop up blinds(they make it easier to sit with him during bowseason) and plant.
Ready to go!!!!!!!!!

What are your goals this year? Try to kill one with a bigger rack than last year.

What have you done so far to prepare? A few light scouting trips early and mostly staying the heck out. Talked to the farmers in the area to see what they are seeing.

What are you going to do in the near future? Put out cams, and double check stands are in good shape. Do some minimal trimming. Surrounded by thousands of acres of beans right now, not planting any plots. (stands, plots, etc..)

Where ya hunting? NE AR A bow only place in surrounded by ag and a hardwood timber stand in the hills.

What ya shooting?
If I don't buy a replacement bow soon I'll be stuck with an old crossbow.
