Most of my jeeper friends prefer autos for rock crawling
Most everyone in offroad does auto, even 100k rigs. manual is a thing of the past.

My wife drives a manual. She has a vehicle that she enjoys driving and that enhances the enjoyment unequivocally. Automatics are better for off-roading, racing, and for people haulers...any other vehicle you purchase mainly for enjoyment is better in a manual.
The Jeep would be more enjoyable in a manual, even in the 'city'. It's not close...

Ditto. I love my 6 sp manual.

I enjoy the 6 speed. But I do see how auto is better offroad. I bought my Jeep because it was a 6 speed. I was looking for a 6 speed at the time. Next time around it will be auto. Easier to drink a beer, hold the rifle, and drive the trails with the Q beam that way.

Manuals, and I do.
Enjoy rebuilding that old arse automatic you're going to buy.

There is basically zero reason to buy a manual. I can't imagine putting my beer down to downshift

Great looking vehicle. I used to have an 08 Wrangler Sahara.
Would you mind posting your email address? I am interested.

No way, you just set the beer right on the shift knob and pedal through. Never put the beer down...it could spill.

The only manual i would buy would be a sports car.
I have no desire to shift my own gears when technology can do it for me.

I don't want the vehicle shifting for me, braking for me, or steering for me...and I don't even want it to have the ability to do any of those things even if it wanted to.
