What's a good starter scope for an ATI Omni Hybrid .223/5.56. Just picked up an Omni hybrid(couldn't miss out on this deal) but it has no iron sights. Thinking about just getting some flip up sights but wanted to see what was out there as far as red dot sights.

Or the primary arms micro dot. Haven't actually got to look through one, but all the reviews are great.

Overall, is it a good rifle? For the price I got it for, it was too good of a deal to pass up for a brand new AR(350 plus shipping) and I'm sure I can recoup that if it doesn't perform well.

Not like I'm competition shooting or anything. Just something to go to the range with and do a little hunting with plus home protection of course.

So how fricked am I? I've been waiting on my can for six months, not a worry in the world, and I realized today that the business it was sent to was lost in the flood. Nobody answering the phone and they received the suppressor months ago.

Primary Arms has the Bushnell TRS25 for ~$70. Would be a good match for an unmagnified optic. They have a riser for about $10 to go with it.

Primary Arm's 1-4x24mm gets surprisingly good reviews and is value priced aka cheap too.

How much could I get for a Bushmaster AR15 A2 model with a heavy barrel, national match sights and a 2-stage trigger?

I've been told this rifle was made before Bushmaster was bought out by Freedom Group if that helps.

CLP

It stinks. It gets everywhere. It's probably toxic. However, it's probably the best all around choice for ARs. The Army has field experience over literally millions of man hours with the combination of product and platform.

And, Glock uses CLP exclusively at their factory and recommends the same for their weapons.

So, while it is old fashioned and has some drawbacks, it almost cannot be the wrong choice for a lot of weapons, including the AR15.

Idk if you're fricked, but you may be waiting another 6 months lol.

my buddy had a rifle at a shop that flooded, and supposedly a rep from a few of the manufacturers is coming down to inspect the damage, but who knows if that is true or not.

It's like an oil. You don't really spray it on. I normally rub a few drops onto the BCG and a few on the inside of the reciever then rack the bolt back and forth a bunch of times and you're good to go.

Then use a toothbrush, pipecleaners, cotton swabs and a dental pick if you have one with CLP to clean.
