I am fairly certain he is going to pay the TTL regardless

Ya Im pretty sure he is going to have to pay that also. That is why a lot of people sell stuff they win to pay ttl and just to get a little cash.

I would keep it, at least for a while, decide if you use it enough to justify keeping it. If you do, then keep it, if it just sits up all the time, sell it. Grats on the boat.

You gotta keep it buddy, or of you do sell it, get another boat. You've seen how much more fishing I've done in the past year since I got my boat if you're old lady gets mad about it you tell her I said suck it up!

There are a few things that you just don't sell, without immediately buying another one. IF you ever get completely out of the market on some of your toys, you have to fight another battle if you want to get another one. I just don't like having to battle for ground I've already won before.

I had to fight some small battles to get my duck boat, ski boat, motorcycle, and 4 wheeler. The only way I'll ever get rid of any of them, is by upgrading to a better model.

Congrats on the boat. I was drooling over one the other day at Bass pro that sounds similar and it was about 18 grand.

If he sells it now he can get close to new price, buy a smaller boat and have something to hold over her head til his dieing day. he just soon be super responsible going into the marriage, set a good example and forever have the upper hand and some extra money. If all of you married goobers don't agree that you later needed cash instead of all those pretty little china plates and spoons n' stuff, then you had it made too easy. Most of us didn't...This is the same thing.

Keep the boat. I sold mine to pay hospital bills and shite like that. Now I do not see being able to get a boat anytime in the foreseeable future. I have 3 boys by the way.

Congrats, sounds like a bad arse rig!

If its a boat you want and would use, keep it. If you could sell it and get a rig more suited to your pusuits, do that. Do not, under any circumstance, sell it and not get another boat.

ETA: Im married and the wife is in med school. We have lots of school loans, but I still bought a small boat this past year because my sanity and her getting used to me having a boat were more important than an extra loan payment in the future.
