I have had two tundras and currently have a 2014 silverado. Always liked honda and toyota but really prefer the chevy for it ride and easy driving characteristics. I don't know if it will hold up like the yota but I really enjoy driving this truck.

I went to Price Leblanc also. Told the guy that I was there to buy a truck, cash deal, give me your best shot. He fricked around so much I walked out. Went to Team Toyota bought my truck.

Toyota of Slidell

I would drive a RAM before I would ever give Toyota of Slidell my business. They are liars and assholes and the absolute worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Long story short...

Over the internet I got a price on a truck. Agreed to buy at said price. I was told to head over the next day and it would be ready to go. They called the next day and said to head that way. I got there and the truck wasn't there. They kept me there all day, truck never arrived. Gave me a new truck to take home said they would bring me mine tomorrow. Then they kept pushing back the delivery date. I asked them to throw some tint on there to make me feel better about waiting.

They started acting up, so did I. At the end of it, their feelings were hurt and they decided to not sell me the truck. Told me I needed to bring their truck back to them, the deal was off. I told them to piss off, I wasn't bringing them shite. They threatened to call the cops on me and all kinds of stuff. I called Toyota Corporate. They explained to me that they don't have any power to make a dealership take a deal, but being the manufacturer, they do have some influence. They asked Toyota of Slidell to take the deal and they still refused. They were seriously upset. Then they asked all the dealerships in BR to take the deal, all of them accepted.

Went to the BR dealer, and they had never heard of Toyota asking someone to take a deal, it went against all kinds of rules and regs they have set in place. Also, they told me I qualified for 0% interest while Slidell told me I only qualified for 3.XX. They also tried to throw in some extended warranties for "free" that BR told me didn't exist. (makes sense, Slidell never did let me sign the paperwork at the dealership)

TLDR: frick Toyota of Slidell, frick them up their stupid asses.

Did you have the 5.7L engine in either of those Tundras? How does it stack up to the new motor in the Chevy? I am guessing it is the 6.3L in the Chevy right? I have a '14 Tundra and will probably get a new truck in '16 and I am on the fence thinking about going back to a GMC.

I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 and love it, it's comfortable gets 15 to 17 mpg depending on how I drive it and is the best looking imo.

My company truck is a 2011 F150 and I don't dislike it but it isn't as comfortable and it feels smaller, gets 14 mpg.

I had the 5.7 engine which is a beast. My chevy has the 5.3 with the 3.42 tranny. It does not have the power of the toyota but has no problem towing a 24 bay champ. I prefer driving the chevy. I'm sure the yota is better built etc but pure driving I prefer it. After owning it for 15 months a 16K it is not rattling yet like my American vehicles of the 80's and 90's. IMO cannot go wrong either way.
