New camping trailer (warning: pic heavy and kind of long)

I've been wanting a place to keep all our camping gear that would facilitate a quick load up and roll out. My gear is spread between my little shop, wife's storage building and closets throughout the house. I kept looking online at "camping trailers" but everyone wants at least $8k for one. I had considered cutting up my scrambler project but couldn't muster up the moxie to cut her up. MOPAR stepped in with some inspiration.
So MOPAR sent me my lift kit in a nice crate. I drove to Beaumont to pick up this trailer. I modified the tongue and moved the gate to the front. Added some jeep lights I had laying around (now I have reverse lights on the trailer). Glue and screwed the box together. Stained the doors gray and clear coated them. Painted the box with chassis black and mounted to the trailer.
Pulls great! It's large enough to hold all my gear including my 12 man tent, table, stove, lights, chairs, pots, etc.
I'll use it for this camping season and see what modifications I want to make after. I'll probably add a rack for overhead storage and a new axle and larger wheels and tires eventually but for now I'm excited about our first trip of the season to Sicily Island next weekend.

Looks good. Myself, I would add a Honda E2000 to the gear along with a small AC window unit for the tent.
My daughter, SIL and grandson are camping down in Sicily Island this weekend.

Add a small flat screen tv for ball games too! In my truck camper, I have one. I take one of my DTV receivers with me.

That's a sweet setup and time well spent.

Look at EU2000i Companion. I parallel my 2 & they run everything in my camper.
Great project too. Looks awesome!

Who did you get the trailer from?

Lowes. I looked all over the Internet for a trailer to use. Lowes had this one listed online but the only stores around that had one were Beaumont and Port Arther. They list for $429 but the guy sold it to me for $350 because it'd been sittin out there so long and had some rust on the tongue and a cracked taillight.

A set of overhead Kayak racks on top would be perfect.

That is slick.
Fine workmanship.
You OK on weight with that trailer axle?

You should manufacture and sell. Great Idea. Camp trailer. Store all your shite there and its out of the way

Trailer was rated for 900 lbs. of cargo. I'm nowhere near that. Maybe 500 with addons, box and cargo.

Shoot, I figured that Yeti for 200# by itself.

Why do you need a 12 man tent?
