Benelli is introducing the SBE 3. Looks like it's just copied off the Ethos, but with the polymer finish and comfortech stock.

Browning is introducing the Maxus Wicked Wing. Maxus with cerakote and obnoxiously protruding bolt handle.

Good god that browning is disgusting and I was raised on browning. The older I get the more I despise camoflauge guns.

The stock on the benelli looks fricked. It looks like it has way too much drop.

Facebook says 1/16/17.

No clue if that means when they will be on shelves or just when the marketing fodder will be in full force.

Please for the love of all that is holy let Browning release the A5 in a synthetic 3" 20ga or even a wood one for that matter. I'm tired of beating up my old Mag Twenty in duck holes

Makes me feel old that my sbe has been in the safe for so long. No one in my family does any bird hunting.

Had that thing for 15 years now and its probably got 400 rounds through it. All the first year I had. Had a few here and there, but nothing worth noting.

Bolt still looks brand new.

I need to buy my wife and daughter a bird gun. I have the SBE II and they have shot it but not sure if I want that gun for them. Not sure if I want to spend that much.

Any suggestions? Something that won't blow their shoulders out.

Beretta A350 is easy on the shoulder, can fire a 3.5" shell and is only $1k

My 12yr old daughter shoots one of the new A5's. She loves it. Its light and easy for her to handle and recoil is minimal with 3" or shorter shells. tha Maxus is also a good gun. Another great one to look at is the Winchester SX3's. Soft shooting and they aren't heavy. Probably the best bang for your buck in a 3.5" gun out there

Syren-made by same group that owns Fabarm and Caesar Guerini

I looked at a couple of these for my wife but I can't decide if it is a marketing gimmick. You could probably buy a nice 20gauge B gun and have it custom fitted or have a knowledgeable shooting instructor fit the gun to your wife/daughter using the basic shim kits Beretta and Bennelli offer with most of their guns for less then you will spend on these Syrens.

Fabarms is putting out a nice waterfowl gun and Caesar Guerini is great so if they do fit a women shooter off the rack with no adjustments necessary they could be a really nice option. Just realize you will be paying a premium just because it is labeled as a "women's" model.

Thanks guys. Hunted with a guy that had a new Winchester think he said $800. I don't mind spending a grand or so but I have to buy 2. They will shoot though and love wing shooting. My wife was shooting my Citori the other day and it was blowing her down. Shot my sbe II and loved it.

Just saw you don't want to spend as much as a SBEII so the Syren line would probably not be what you are looking for. If you want easy on the shoulder have them try a couple of different 20gauge Beretta's with the Kickoff. Try to find a couple different barrel lengths in stock locally so they can handle them and compare which fits the best. Maybe even skip the kickoff because it does add length of draw and a 20g gas gun will have minimal recoil anyway. This option will probably be close in price to what you paid for the SBEII (give or take a couple bills, depending on options) but you have mentioned before how much your daughter enjoys shooting. Going this route will be setting her up with a great multi-purpose gun that could easily be handed down to future grandkids one day (hers not yours.).

I looked at the Syren and yeah I just don't want to spend that. I'm thinking that Beretta but they want 12 gauge not 20 but I know they will be fine with that. Probably take them quail hunting in Texas shortly so I'll buy something the next week or so.
