I've got a 2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport X with a dry rotten back window panel that I've got to replace, in black. The damn zippers have even broken off.

I've tried some Google searches but it seems it has to be a package deal for all 3 window panels or a complete soft top replacement.

Any ideas on where I can get just the back window panel for a decent price?

You need to find a wrecked one in a junk yard.

I had a similar problem with my 2006 Rubicon Unlimited. I called auto vinyl shops, boat vinyl shops all to no avail. Was told I would have to replace all 3 panels. Wish I had better news for you.

However, you can do what I did & that is show up to dealership to trade it in with all 3 panels off. They were none the wiser. All is fair in love and trading vehicles.

ebay will probably have it. I had to buy one a couple years ago after someone thought they needed mine more than I did.

Sorry to tell you but you will have to buy all 3 unless you find them second hand. I've been thru this couple times when I've had to replace my windows.

Thanks for the advice & experience background fellas.

Going to try the junk yard route. Then maybe trade in without the panels or sell privately without them.

For anyone interested in a private sale:

KBB has the average price for my area at approx. $16,500.

2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport X.
55,000 miles (spent many years in my father in law's garage only being driven 1 weekend/Saturday a month, if that, for errands to keep the motor running).
2-door.
Offroad tires.
CD player.
Bench back seat.
Very minimal scratches.
Only 4 very small areas of spot rust.
All original & clean interior.

I had a 2003 with the same issue. I'm almost positive you can buy the back window only on eBay. I ended up buying a whole new top because the zippers were totally gone.

you will have no luck in the junk yard, don't even waste your time.

Check over at Jeep Forum in the classifieds. Craigslist is another great place. I've found a few Jeep things from people doing part outs or just selling off older stuff.

Where are you located? I know a company that can make one in the Hammond/Ponchatoula area.

Look and see what Bestop sells. I've navigated to Windows and Doors, but their site may have other stuff.
