I remember this guys name from another hunting violation. He's from Monterey, no telling what else he's done and didn't get caught.

So when he turned himself in November for killing the bear he was allowed to continue hunting? If you check out his Facebook he has several kills from this season posted on there. I have no words to describe the level of idiocy he has displayed.

good grief. If all this doesn't end with his license permanently revoked then I have lost faith in LDWF. not that having a revoked license is going to stop him from doing stupid shite but at least it would make the penalty more severe when he is caught.

In light of the multiple offenses and complete disregard of the law or penalties...

500 hours of interstate trash pickup
1 year in jail (2 for 1, so 6 months actual)
$25,000 fine
permanent license revocation

I'd also add ban on ever possessing any hunting equipment, wild game meat, or trophies of any kind. Take all his mounted bucks from his house because more than likely he took them illegally.

They don't write the laws. Lose faith in legislators and not the LDWF.

Judge could have hit him with the lifetime ban.

Is the charge that was levied on him a felony? I honestly know nothing about wildlife laws and I didn't read the article. If he is now a convicted felon he will not be able to own a gun any longer but I guess that won't prevent him from bow hunting.

Not entirely sure. He has no many charges pending against him I don't really feel like doing the research.

Should be banned from hunting for life. That's a no-brainer.

Oh, and if you've ever seen the inside of a parish type prison, you'd know that 60 days would be hell.

Call me crazy, but am I the only one that really doesn't care if we have bears or not in Louisiana?

It seems like they're a big nuisance.

No I agree and they are only going to get worse. I still wouldn't do what this clown has done and I believe he needs to pay.
