Reportedly had 10 guns in the room. Very likely he had both ak's and AR's.

I see that Hillary has chimed in:
"The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots. Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get."

This will keep the libs fired up for quit a while. Hopefully this guy wasn't a Republican.

And hopefully no copycats in the near future. A few copycats at other soft targets (schools, hospitals, sporting events, etc.) would create a serious ammo panic.

Looking forward to insights into Paddock's motives.

Saw a screenshot from the Today Show that said he had an "active hunting license".

What in the hell does that have to do with anything? Sounds like a narrative for the liberals to latch onto.

Doubtful. He attacked a country music concert. That's got to be a clue, right?

Someone slowed down the audio of the shooting and you can really hear the fire rate variation.

I'm convinced it had to be a trigger or "gat" crank.

Sounds like liberals seeing hunters as an obstacle to further gun control measures.

I'd guess the motive is probably known. We may never know what it is but it's known.

CNBC has been saying the last hour that he had been gambling heavily the last few days.

That and his father was an FBI most wanted bank robber and captured in Vegas.

From that video i think carson is right. Sounds like a crank. Full auto sounds much different. Will be interesting to see the facts. If we ever see them. Doubtful.

It will likely just be labeled "assault rifles".

bullshite like this is what made the ammo rush.

The blood isn't even dry yet and the focus is already on guns and not what the hell was wrong with this a-hole that started shooting at a crowd.

Muh 22s

On this topic, I did read an article with a picture of two cops behind a cop car that was captioned "police officers with sniper rifles...blah blah".

One had an M4/AR and one had a shotgun

Stuck at ground level with buckshot and the shooter is on the 32nd floor. Gotta be a shitty feeling.

I haven't read/followed what has happened much, I've been on a job. Could an officer with a rifle and a scope have maybe done something? I saw the guy was something like 400 yards away and on the 32nd floor of the hotel. I also saw that it took and hour and half for swat to reach his hotel room.

All things considered, it's amazing he didn't kill more people with that kind of time.

A guy on the OT just put up a picture of the crowd area after it had cleared out. Piles of bodies. fricking horrible shite to see, I don't recommend looking at it.

So many problems here. Why did this guy snap? Why are people taking pictures and videos while others are dying around them? Why did it take so long for the police to intervene when there was an officer near the shooter 20 minutes into the shooting?

Such a horrible event for those involved and should really make you sit back and think about how much of a blessing each day you get is.

I'm all for gun rights, and I hunt way more than I target shoot. But damn I didn't even know most of these semi auto mods existed. I'm not sure I would even care if any mod that made firing faster than I can pull the trigger was legal. That's not really a response to today either, I'm just surprised they are legal in the first place.

Give me a Drexel, a piece of delrin, and an electronic paintball lower and I can make an E-AR fairly easily.

Hell, I could probably make a wooden AR if I were bored enough.
