He's a great kid and QB of his football team. Goes duck and squirrel hunting with me and we enjoy a lot of things together. Guess I just want him to love it all like I do. I have nothing to complain about.

And I shouldn't post on the OB when I'm dranking and pissed off we didn't see any deer.

You nailed it
My 19 yo is only alike me in stubbornness, but she is a better person than me or her Mom in many ways.

I only have one athlete, maybe two, but the youngest is a late bloomer.

My middle is w me now and will loves outdoors, he is a pretty good ball player but would rather fish or hint any day.

My youngest son marched to his own beat, but he msjes ne laugh 20 times a day and has a super cool spirit IMHO

So am I, he's yet to say how old his kid is, but if they're hunting in the same stand I'm assuming young.

You stick me in a box stand looking at a green food plot or pile of corn and I'm surfing the OB, and looking at chicks on Instagram, so I don't blame him.

Make me walk a mile carrying a climber then set it up before shooting time and climb a tree looking over a thicket or oak flat where I HAVE to pay attention I'm more likely to, plus I'm now too tired to be fidgety. Then I'll get down and scout, look for a better tree, better trail, get the sun out of my eyes, whatever.

My son and I spend 100's of hours in the stand together. Sometime I work from the stand, he plays games so what. Him on a electronic keeps us there a hour longer he smashes a nice buck. I will take that trade off for the time together any day.

Good luck today.

I have no problem with you voicing your thoughts on the OB about your kids. Sometimes it's good to flesh em out and helps to put it all in perspective.

I enjoy fishing way more than hunting, and my daughter fishes with me a little, but not near as much as I'd like. Maybe if I was a better guide... Then again, she's smarter than her mom and I, and can carry a conversation about almost anything better than most adults... everyone's different. Enjoy them all.

I didn't understand when I was younger just how much noise and movement I made when I used to hunt with my dad.... until I brought my then girlfriend now wife hunting with me. Go to sleep, read a book, play candy crush, sorry I don't have control over God's Thermostat I'll let you know when there is something to look at.

Just venting. Have to come to the realization that today's youth have way too many distractions to want to learn the outdoors.
