I picked up a flyer about the Coalition at the Outdoor Show this last weekend. Do any of you know much about the organization? Is it worth belonging to?

Depends if you have property. I would rather not have bass boats running through my marsh.

I’m a member of the Facebook group. Is there some sort of paid membership? If there is I don’t even know about it. I read a lot of the literature they post. They seem to be doing a decent job at trying to make some noise about the current public access fiasco. If you support the cause, couldn’t hurt to join.

$20/year

It's a noble effort on their part. They appear to be very disorganized but they are in their infancy so hopefully that will change. The most recent house bill on water access got slipped in under their noses. They also allow people so say all sorts of ridiculous shite on their facebook group page. They could probably do themselves some good by not alienating land owners.

Even though I complain, this is my second year in a row giving them money

Seems to be a good group of guys using money's to help lobby in the right direction. Has recently seen some big names come on board to help in a voluntary basis on organization so that's good. Little more direction and organization will help them move forward. Those will all come as money helps support those efforts. We need a strong voice and if this is part of that voice so be it, I'm in.

It's the only group even trying to get the water access crap straightened out. They are a group of volunteer sportsmen with real jobs and families.
Organization seems to have been an issue at times, but that is to be expected for a young group made up of volunteers. The FB page can be a shite show at times, but that has been proven to be at times caused by the ones opposed to thier efforts.

Nah bruh, it is his marsh

Because in 1812 Theophile Bordeaux with his handy spyglass marked the waterway he now owns as "Wasteland"

When BASS got on board last year after having issues with areas to fish for tournaments, that only helped. I do believe the coalition will get stronger and stronger.

That is correct, but within days of the bill being filed they had met at the capital with Rep Pearson and have been in discussion with him ever sense.

yes, 20/ per year is worth the fight. Drop in the bucket but we gotta start somewhere.

I'm not interested in running through anyone's "marsh" to me its just the canals. If nothing is done soon they will lock up everything. You might not even be able to get to your "marsh".

If you flat billed mud boat running rednecks wouldn't be trespassing and creating problems where there were none before, then no one would be locking up everything.

Continental land and fur sent out letters to lease holders this week urging opposition to the bill. Saying that you won’t be able to stop surface drives from rolling through your duck lease or fishing your ponds if this passes.

The shite show and arse whippings that would result from this legislation is mind boggling
