That sounds like a good second boat to use in some national wildlife refuges that limit you to a 25, and it will work fine for reds in the marsh too. Anything under $1000 is a good deal.

That said, leaky rivets sound like a PITA.

It's definitely a project but I've always wanted an aluminum boat to chase reds / convert into a bowfishing rig. And like I said earlier, I already have access to a boat so this won't be a rush job or anything.

Buy the boat cheap, buy a screen/glass door, cut bottom of boat out, replace with door, and seal with flex seal.

Guy on the commercial did it, so it must work.
