My ranger crew (fullsize) fits perfectly on my 6x12 trailer. Leaves enough room on each side to work when strapping it down and there is about 2 inches of room between the bed and the gate of the trailer.

Has anyone drove the diesel? I'd like to take one for a spin.

yes but look at the max payload and towing capacities both the same for 800 and 900

and less for diesel.

Probably has more to do with the suspension than the power.

Torque for days, slow and loud. We have had one on the family farm for one year. It is a farm vehicle...it will pull a house off its foundation but is not practical for your average hunter.

The 800 crew is more than enough for 99.9% of hunters and actually has room for 6, whereas the 900 crew only has room for 5.

At your hunting lease all you would ever need is the 800. I have a 700efi in mine and it struggles a little bit on some of the terrain but over all has been great. I would like to have the extra power especially in a bigger machine.

I'm not a racer so the idea of more torque and more miles out of a tank appeals to me with the diesel.

I plan to use mine to pull discs and plows too. and will frequently have it in water over the tires.

They will surprise you at what they will go through. I have only had mine stuck one time that I had to winch out. I only have stock tires on it but a 2 inch lift. I would recommend getting a lift put on it, seems to ride smoother with the lift and don't high center as much.

I bought a 900 crew on Dec 31.

Have been super pleased with it so far. As states turning radius sucks.

Big differences in 800 vs 900 is engine size and location. In the 900 the engine is further back which makes heat less of an issue I. Summer for those riding in back. Also bigger issue for me was with the weight shifted further back IMO didn't need power steering like in the 800 due to less weight up front. That saved $1500.

Diesel I thought long and hard about but it's not turbocharged so its not like buying a truck motor. Speed is ok but much louder and takes longer to get to top speed. The noise was my reason for not getting it when deer hunting. However my farm diesel tank would have liked it!

I spent a few months researching e mail me if you have more questions.

I would like that info sir. We looked into light bars for the 4 new ones we bought but they were 1200.00 each, so my bosses said no way. I would love a light bar on mine.
