Don't know the details but they are searching for the shooter.

EMS was called to take the injured agent to St. Francis Medical Center, where he will be airlifted. An official at the scene said the agent was conscious when he left the scene. The suspect armed with "some kind of handgun," a white male described as wearing blue gym shorts and a black T-shirt, fled into the woods after shooting the agent. Agents last updated the suspect's location as walking along Buckley Hill Road toward Stubbs Vinson Road. Ouachita Parish sheriff's deputies responded to the scene. Officials are looking for the shooter with about five units spread throughout the area. A K-9 unit has been dispatched, as have the SWAT team and the Louisiana State Police.

That would only benefit himself... If you're willing to shoot a LEOl for illegally taking game or fish you deserve to have the favor returned.
