After doing some reading on the OB, I thought I was doing a good thing by spraying Weed Free Zone back in February. I don't know if it was my application, the product, or something else, but my yard looks worse than last year. Is there anything I can spray at this point to knock this shite out?

thanks in advance

Is that st aug or centipede? Image is a good broadleaf choice. Spray it before it gets too hot out

I think you might want to dig it up and start over.

Wood sorrel, buttonweed, purslane,etc....I'd hit it with WeedFreeZone again, or some SpeedZone if you can get your hands on it.

2-4-D will kill Va Buttonweed with multiple applications ( according to Dan Gill). I have all the same shite in spots around my yard. I wouldn't sweat any of it except for the Buttonweed. 2-4-D should kill all of that. Wouldn't spray it when it gets too hot though. May hammer your good grass too.

good lord, man!

I personally, am a lover of 2-4D...I would hit it with that a few times to see what happens.

exactly...if there is such thing as an "impressive" crop of weeds, that is a good example!

It looks like part of your problem may be mowing too low and not allowing your grass to grow to the right length so it can grow thick enough to block out weeds.

You may have to spray a combination of stay, if it doesn't brown after like 3 days try something out. Throw down some dang preventative too so you don't get more in the future.

I tried Roundup on Buttonweed. When the grass died, the first thing to come back in that spot was the Buttonweed.

You really do have to attack this problem in mid February. Pre emergent is a huge help. I've used weed free zone with success, but I believe your 3rd pic is something that my parents had which was not cured with WFZ. Actually had to go to the local LSU Ag center's co-op extension office and get some guidance. The recommended Celcius which worked. Not saying that will cure your issue, but looking up your local co-op and giving them a call might be useful. Free advice and they may just need you to shoot an email with pictures.

I use MSM on Button weed, certainty works good also it more expensive, for sedges I use a combo of sedghammer and dismiss south, and weed free zone and 2-4D on all other weeds. be careful with 2-4D when the temps, get over 85 it Will yellow your good grass,

You have to constantly monitor Buttonweed,I finally have mine under controll, Use a good pre-emergent in the fall

Kinda my thoughts too.....at the very least you can remove all the areas infected and re-sod those.

Wood sorrel shite is the damn devil.

24D kills it but it moves over 6 inches and grows again. I had to go full jihad on my yard to get rid of mine.

Backpack sprayer of 24d and about 3 treatments knocked it out.

If that is centipede then be careful with the 2-4,D. It'll scuff the hell out of it and take a year to get back to normal.
