Oak ridge is awesome though. He might be right. You might be able to make it back there. But I personally wouldn't chance it in my boat.

I hit the same underwater stump going and going out last time. No doubt Ere are many more mines out there.
I will bring my boat to the office and hopefully Homey will be there to give me a report on launching. Another option is just run to Benoit and fish momma's pond.
ETA: I wish I could get into sandy cove. I loved throwing a jig in those grass reeds.

My uncle just called me. He was leaving the Bayou Benoit landing. Said he ran into a guy who caught about 50 bass this morning. The guy kept his limit, showed my uncle at the landing. Uncle Kenneth said most were about 2-3 pounders. This confirms what I've been curious of for a month now. He said you launch and go to the left. Just fish the trees and stumps. He said the guy was throwing a chartreuse and white what looked like a spinner bait. Said it had a silver spinner on it.
I might head that way sunday. Although Hopefully I wont have to throw a spinner bait

Interesting. Never went that way. My guess is with the water being kinda low, those fish are having to pull back from all the normal cover they usually have and are stacking up.

Well my boss is on the war path right now, and hes making to work over the weekend. I have 9 job sites I have to go to this weekend ranging from Cameron all the way to Monroe, so I wont be able to do any fishing Sunday. Luckily, three of my sites are between Bell City and Cameron, so I will still be able to fish the Pool tomorrow morning, but once I'm done fishing there, its gonna pretty much work the rest of the weekend. But Janky, we def need to get together and rip some lips. I showed pillage how to do it, I guess you deserve a lesson, as well
