A friend of mine and his dad each pull trailers to Colorado each winter for a hunting trip. He has always had HD GM trucks, traded up to a KR Ford 250 before last years trip and traded it in for a Denali 2500 the day he got back. TIFWIW. I've always been under the assumption that the bigger the truck got the better truck Ford makes but he was very displeased with the KR's performance in the mountains, pulling a load. Don't care what you buy, that's my semi experience between the 2.

If more people felt this way then GM wouldn't be a failing company.

GM builds a very good 3/4 ton truck. They're going in the shite tank for other reasons. You can't float a company on the HD trucks alone.

Very very rarely do I hear about somebody being disappointed with a GM HD truck.

Head, I'm sorry that you don't know how to get good deals but that's no need to drive an inferior truck. You should have seen the deal I got on my F150

Denali...

ETA:

I had a 2012 F250 Lariat. Would still have it BUT it started having the shuddering problem. The dealer told me Ford didn't know how to fix it. Said they would give me a new truck off the lot but, that it would do the same thing. Long story short, two weeks later I traded it on a 2500HD Denali.

I will say that the GM seems to be a little stronger and definitely doesn't squat as much as the Ford did with a load.

If 2010 diesel, Denali, but be prepared for all the interior pieces, door handles and door latch mechanisms to fall apart.
Duramax/Allison combo was tough to beat.

2011 diesel and up, Ford. It is light-years ahead of GM in technology, fit and finish and every other meaningful category.

You post in these threads whenever these trucks come up.

I am skeptical of your story.

Well, just playing devil's advocate here, but he's not going to post about that in a gun/hunting/fishing thread.

He's done it on OT, mostly.

I'll wait...

That's just getting a little rediculous.

They all have the power for it. A good way to test them put is to hook them all up to that much load and pull it through the mountains and last one to blow up wins.

I'd love to see them all run until engine guts start flying out.

No doubt, they'd never agree to it though
