Looking to buy a small .380 pocket pistol to carry when clothing won't allow for a larger caliber. Anyone have any experience with the new lcp custom? I had pretty much narrowed it down to the Kahr until I started hearing good things about the lcp.

Also if anyone wants to argue for the s&w bodyguard, I'll hear your argument. I just haven't had much consistency in my range sessions with it.

I've shot the g42 and do like it, it's just a little too long for my use. If I could make that size work I would probably step up to a 9mm.

Understood, I carry a G42 and love it.

I've heard good things about the Kahr but have never shot it. I think they are very well priced iirc

Bodyguard has the worst factory trigger Ive ever felt

I'd go with the Kahr out of these. Don't rule out the sig p238

If the g42 fit how I wanted to carry, it would be the answer. I loved the way it felt at the range and I was very accurate out to 20'

I'm a fan of the sig238 as well but I have large hands and the ambi safety seems to press into my right hand. Worried it might not disengage completely in a moment of need. It also felt like it was a little harder to draw from my pocket compared to the others.

Well, Mr. Peterman, the Glock 42 is actually larger than my own Kahr CM9, which is chambered in 9mm, so that's an accurate assumption.

The Kahr will have the best sights and trigger out of all of those. And if I remember correctly, I'm pretty sure the bodyguard has an unnecessary thumb safety. I would keep it simple and get the Kahr if you insist on 380.

It also wouldn't hurt to have a single stack 9mm in your rotation if you don't already do.

I have a Shield 9mm that I carry iwb. This is going to be a back up gun or something to carry when the iwb isn't practical.

Solid. I would say the CW380 is your best choice out of that bunch.

Sig p238

If you like 1911 pistols then you will love this gun. It is a baby 1911.

How do you like it?; had mine only about a month with only about a 100 rounds through. Good so far.

I like it a lot. I've owned quite a few 9mm and despite this one's small size, I prefer it to most. I'm looking to upgrade to the new shield performance center soon, but they've been out of stock everywhere I've looked.

Yeah - out of those 3, the Kahr is probably going to be the best, LCP a reasonably close second and the bodyguard is way behind.

I don't know about that for pocket carry, Carson. Carrying it at condition 1 either in a pocket or pocket holster? I've just never been a fan.

I have a Kahr CM9, shoots great, have about 400 rds through now. I considered the cw380, but the 9 is only slightly larger and only about $20 more.

I have the Kahr p380. It's like a better dressed brother of the cw380. I like it.

I own the Kahr CW380 & CM9. It's the smoothest DA trigger of the 3. And it's tiny.

Have you experienced any FTF issues with the CW380? If so, how often, and does it seem to be related to a certain type of ammo?

I feel the same way. Not a fan of a gun with a manual safety in the pocket. That's just a little too much to think about.
