There have been a couple of Texas coast shark attacks on kids this summer. One made national news I believe.

I've caught a ton of sharks down there but there has been more activity with less commonly seen species, like hammerheads. I'll be back down for 4th of July weekend looking to get some sharks and redfish.

Must be a slow news day. Anyone from the TX coastal area knows this is a BS story. I can go to Freeport and catch 2 to 5 like that most any night.

Also remember that most Houston reporters today are NOT from Texas.

Wait......... what are you saying?

Sharks make me nervous. Any time I get out in waist deep water at the beach, I have a feeling one of those toothy bastards is nearby. Mermaids don't bother me as much.

Speaking of Blacktips in Galveston, this was caught at the 91st street pier today. Not bad at all.

No story. I "liked" a Galveston bait shop on Facebook and they shared the image from 91st St Fishing Pier's Facebook page.
