My Dodge has actually been trouble free. I'm going to go test drive the new Ram as well, and maybe the F150 and Sierra.
Thanks guys for the advice, knew the OB would come through!

Tundra is darn near a 3/4 ton as far as brakes and towing goes.

Or who's the one where the airline jet can't get the nose gear down and the truck goes on the runway and the jet sets the nose down on it. Turrible.

I mean it's more of a HD half ton, but their brakes are beefed up. I drive a ram half ton and stopping heavy weight with it vs my uncle's tundra is night and day.

I think that was a Tacoma

Looks like they should have beefed them up some more...

Recent story. Took my 2012 Tundra on a haul this week. Drove 250 miles round trip, 100 of which was with an 1,850 lb injection mold in the bed. Squatted good, but made it fine. Drove 70 on freeways except for that 100 miles at 60 with the load and 60 on two lane roads (about 70 miles total) and still got 20.1 mpg per the trip computer. Wouldn't want to carry that load everyday, but it did fine. Have the 5.7 engine and tow package

Well, I just realized I misspelled murica (thanks autocorrect), but that aside, what does my avatar have to do with that?

Toyota Tundras are assembled in San Antonio, Texas, United States of America
FIFY
So, what's more american?
1. Americans being employed by building trucks from foreign parts and a foreign company (i.e. Toyota)?
2. An american company using foreign labor to assemble foreign parts (i.e. Apple)?

I'm thinking your trip computer is full of shite. I think if you calculated it manually, it would bring you to tears.

Good read about market share of Full Size Trucks...
Full Size Truck Market Share
IMO Hemi w/8spd Tranny is sick. Ram and Ford are really making strides to improved their trucks, especially compared to the other brands who seem to just update the headlights every year or so.

No clue, but they are way wrong.
I spent some time researching from that other thread and if anything, the Tundra is the lightest crew cab, not the heaviest.
This is for 2014.

I'm just goin by my personal experience, I have no brand allegiance to anything other than frick ford. In my experiences with hauling shite the tundra stopped better than my ram.

I look for this damn truck everytime I go back to BSL!
I'd bet either the wife or I know you or of you. More so the latter being she grew up there.
