Never understood the point of hunting bear (or the safari shite where you're not eating the meat of what you kill)

Moose or Salmon

Although I'd love a brown/grizzly hunt they are insanely expensive.

Moose - I have the want real bad to hunt them in Alaska. I priced it out and I can do a solid moose trip for about $6k

The thing about these hunts in Alaska, is that they're not hunts they're expeditions. It's one of the only places left to hunt big game animals the same way they did it in the golden age of big game hunting the 1920s-30s.

Spinoff: Who on the OB wants to do an Alaska Moose hunt next year with me?

Think Roger would guide us?

I'd pick moose out of these choices. Only if someone else cleans it and packs it out for me.

Same here. Hunting up there is not like where I hunt. Drop a deer, pull up to it with a 4Wheeler and drop it on the rack. They sometimes kill them miles from a road and have to carry it out piece by piece..... id rather have someone else do that for me.

They're all incredible experiences. My Salmon fishing trip stands out over the other two.

Fishing for salmon is a blast. The experience I'm sure is even better in AK with the view.

I'm ready for the spring salmon run locally. Almost time
