The Millenium Pro semi's are pretty nice. My wife had one for a little while that she used for CC. It was a .40 and she didnt like the recoil so I sold it and bought a G26. I loved that Taurus though...very comfortable in my hand and pretty accurate.

Taurus had a large number of failures in the past but I have read that the product has been greatly improved. The issue is that your life may depend on the weapon and if it is me I am not going to buy a questionable weapon.

I would look into hammerless if I was going with a small revolver, especially if reliability is what you are looking for.

Please explain why hammerless is more reliable?

Thats nothing special price wise. First 3 I looked at in the same gun were $359 and $360.

I don't know about more reliable, but if I am carrying in my pocket I want hammer-less. One less thing to get caught as I am pulling it out. If it's going to be carried in truck or in the house hammer doesn't matter to me.

$359 + tax is about $387ish I'm paying $345 even. So Im saving about $42 which is about 12.5% if im not mistaken. A S&W would run at least $100 more than the final price I'm paying. Not to mention hes gonna give me a discount on the ammo as well.

ETA: the S&W would probably be more like $150 more. which is almost have of the cost of the Taurus.

When buying online you arent paying tax. Thats beside the point, just saying he wasnt really giving you a deal any stranger wouldnt.

Id say knocking $40+ off what it would typically cost me a deal. And no, a stranger at a gun store wouldn't just offer $40 off just because. and like I said, hes giving me a deal on the ammo. I only asked for the opinions on the gun, nothing else. so please stay on topic, which is not "how good of a deal I'm getting".

ETA: typo

There are a lot of people on here that don't like Taurus but this is the one I have and have never had any problems with it.

I don't see reliability being bad in a revolver. Maybe it's not as accurate, but with a pocket sized pistol your going to need to be close anyway I would think. Never shot anything that short of a barrel.

Excuse me. Being as you called it a good deal and the first three I ran across were within $15, I thought you might want to know, and likewise, when you thought you paid taxes on internet sales.

Taurus isn't the best line of guns but their revolvers are decent. The only complaint I have with my Mil Pro is that when the mag is full the bottom round rattles a little bit but other than that I love it.

I think that revolvers are pretty reliable. I had a Ruger revolver and never had an issue with it either. That barrel is very short and I would have to shoot it a lot to get used to it. Still a nice gun though.
