i have a bridge over my property that is about 50 ft long made outa iron frame and has creseote boards as the deck.
I added some treated 2x6's as runners for tires to run on but this hot summer has warped and cracked them terrible.
Any ideas of permanent solution to fix this problem?
I don't want to pour concrete. I was thinking some sort of metal or even adding rocks to drive on..
Idk it's got me stumped.
Here's pic of before and after

I don't see the problem. I would drive on it.

What is cracking? How deep is the ditch/ canal?

The treated boards you see in 2nd are warped and cracked.
That pic was when I finished it in dec.
15-20 ft deep.

Waskey Bridge in Baton Rouge does pre-fab, single span bridges like this that are guaranteed to last. They will deliver and install.

are the structural supports deteorating/ cracking?

No it's iron frame. Rest of bridge outside those 2x6 is on good shape
I just need ideas on how to permanently fix the runners.

Most Louisiana roadway bridges are worst than this. Unless you're driving heavy equipment on it you should be fine.

That's the thing I can't.
The boards have deteriorated.
Doesn't look anything like that now.
They are bowed up on the ends and not straight anymore.

Replace them with treated marine lumber? Dad just built a dock with some super heavy stuff. I would imagine it would be what you want.

Did you use screws or nails?
ETA: on the runners?
Only thing I can think of is to use maybe some wood that won't warp and twist. Maybe 2x6 or 2x8 western red cedar?

Assuming the base is in good shape, how about some composite decking boards?

What I was thinking , just not sure how much that stuff costs

What's the reason for not being able to drive on the creosote deck?

Timber mats (laminated) and push dirt on top of them

I think what you are looking for is serrated bar grating or fiberglass grating.
Serrated bar grating starts off at about $266 per 10 ft section on grainger.
Fiberglass grating starts off at about $700 per 10 ft section on grainger.
