I made a couple of Acadian flags last year for myself, my parents and a friend. Since then I've have several people ask me to buy one. Well I got around to making a few this past weekend and not sure what to charge.

Is $125 reasonable?

The palettes were free, but to break them apart without destroying the wood is a PITA.

Then I assembled the flags, taped them off and and pained 3 times (between drying) and made my own stensils for the star, castle and fleur-de-lis. Plus the touch-ups with a small paint brush to clean up the overspray from spraying the stencils.

It's not as easy as you think.

Did you do anything to the paint to cause the wood grain to still show through or did it naturally do that without a primer?

These two were made from pretty new and clean pine pallets. After I was done painting them, they just looked too bright and new, didn't like the look. So I just took a foam brush and covered them with dark walnut stain and wiped off the excess and let it dry. Love how they came out.

The other 3 are from hardwood pallets. You can't see it well in the pics, but the grain shows pretty good through them also.

You may get $125. However, my wife has purchased similar type pallet wood paintings and they are usually $65-$80 ish for that size.

Whats the dimensions on it? I had this and one similar painted for my wife (24"x16") for $100. Dont know if this helps but it was hand painted. Looks like a pretty cool flag tho. If we ever sell this damn house I might hit you up for one.

Can you make one out of a Texas flag?

I'd pay $125 for that for a gift for some friends

Looks good man. $75-100 would move them faster, but you might could get 125 for them.

Depends on how fast and how many you want to sell.

They average between 39 to 41 inches long by 23 to 24 inches wide.

I thought about it, would be easier, but I hate fricking Texan's.

Just joking, I probably will make some, lots of Texan's living here.

Texas money spends just as good as Louisiana money.

And I am actually a Louisianan so there's that.
