I hunt no matter what, so I really dont worry about the moon cycle.

Although, we've killed more big bucks on the morning of a full moon than other phases

I hunt when I can but the lunar cycles play a major part in the amount of game I see or time of day I will see them.

I also believe that the full moon's will dictate the start of the ruts.

I am a big believer in Lunar cycles for both hunting and fishing.

My loony cycle started last night when I was trying to go to sleep.
I always get excited the week before opening day. I usually get so shaken up I throw up on my way to the camp.

I had a dream last night me and my dad were hunting in the NW corner of the lake and we got 7 greenheads and 1 specklebelly

Anyone want to explain to me what they look at when studying the solunar pattern?

I've never really paid attention to this but I'll do anything to keep improving

You look for the stage/phase the moon is in...you look for the Rise time / Transit Time / Set time.

Moonshine free is what I have on my phone that works pretty good.

Well, my kids (and the kids of friends and neighbors) all start losing their fricking minds around a full moon, so I suspect it would also influence "lower" animals.

I believe they are legitimate by like a previous poster said I don't let them dictate my hunting times since I'm lucky to go out and hunt/fish when I do let alone picking times.

I think this is determined by the length of daylight each day

I have noticed just a few things over the years.
1. Increasing moon at 3/4 - deer in the food plots as I go to my afternoon stands.
2. Full moon - mid day has bucks walking.
3. Decreasing moon at 3/4 - sucks major arse all times of the day except during rut.
