So angry for a wee fella. No need to get angry at everyone on here, they are just trying to help. Nothing wrong with a youth model, I had one when I was little.

Man I read some stuff in this thread that I had no idea existed. I have never picked up a shotgun and found any problem with "the way it shoots" in terms of pattern. Have owned and shot several. Guess I've been lucky.

Biggest question is a comment wick made. I point when I shoot- I get that "you don't aim," but, with a still target, if you look down a barrel, should you not always expect to put enough lead in the kill zone when you shoot a target?

Yes, if you had rifle type sights and you could line up the sight picture well. It doesn't take much though to throw your aim off, especially if you only have a front bead. That's why it's so important to have a gun fit you naturally especially a shotgun. You get fat cheeks, your arms or chest grow larger, neck taller, etc. could all change how a shotgun fits and therefore shoots for you.

No one is poking fun bro. I'm roughly your height, and always felt like I had tyrannosaurus arms. I shortened the stocks on all my hunting rifles. One day I'll get around to doing the shotguns too.

First thing I thought

We're all 3 grown arse men with children of our own. But we never pass an opportunity to mess with each other, just like when we were kids.

Sounds like he has a Napoleon Complex. Better be careful, he might bite you on your ankles.

Here's another question, can you shorten the stock if it's synthetic?

lay it on table with half the barrel hanging off the table and hit it with a mallet a couple times, that should get its mind right lol

I totally can't wrap my mind around that issue. I get the whole fit issue when it comes to throwing the gun up and shooting moving targets. I just can't understand how looking down the barrel of a gun at the bead can change the way the gun patterns. Here's the point that gets me, I bought this gun 2 years ago, I had a stock Rem 870 3" magnum before, how is it I pattern dead on with one factory 870 and shoot high with another one? same barrel length, same stock length, everything is the same, even my weight and body type. You can't make me believe that something is not wrong with the gun, and not just the fit.

Indeed. We prank each other routinely. Just can't do something you wouldn't expect to have done to you. Tie a fresh skunk to the undercarriage of a man's truck if you want to, but don't expect him not to draw a 20ft penis in fertilizer in your yard.

A little different thought here.

I am by no means an expert on proper stock length and comb height, and shotgun fit.

I patterned my browning 10 gauge and Sbe2 12 gauge for turkeys a few weeks ago and I was consistently missing high. What I eventually figured out is that the longer/harder trigger pull (as compared to my rifle) was making me slightly lift the barrel and miss high.

This is not an issue for me usually because for ducks/rabbits etc I just aim and pull, there is no attempt to hold steady and squeeze.

Anyway, once I really focused on following thru on the shot and maintaining the sight picture as well as I could, I was right on the money. And a turkey paid the ultimate price from that sbe2 a week later.

Thought it may help. Good luck.
