no, but he is taller by about 5-6 inches, longer arms.

Not gonna lecture, but always aim where the red and the feathers meet. That way you can always see his head and he doesn't duck and periscope you as you squeeze.

I'd get an aftermarket sight. They make some that clamp on the rail and are less than $30. If for nothing else, just to have something adjustable I could use to get through this turkey season.

You would think I would only have to learn to compensate for wing shooting/sporting clays since you have to really be watching the target, not looking straight down the barrel at a squirrel or turkey.

Just because I'm shorter and have a beer gut and he's taller and has a beer gut, doesn't mean our sight picture should be different. Cheek on the gun and look right down the frickin barrel

She he is taller and closer to average in size for an American, that would explain why he is shooting the gun better than you...

That's fine training if I had to throw the gun up quick to shoot a bird/clay. I'm talking about sitting steady, with a shooting stick, taking my time to aim at my target, and it shoots high. Why is a new 870 designed differently than my older 870?

I wouldn't say he's a better shot, but it doesn't matter if the gun is on when he shoots it, because at the end of the day, I bring it home and have to shoot it all the time. I either need to get it fixed or get rid of it for a better fitting gun. So tell me where I can get it fixed, please, with a cherry on top

Sell it for whatever you can and go buy a nova or an outlander. It's not worth spending money on an 870.

My brother shoots an Outlander and tried to talk me into one the other day. It is comfortable and fits nice. I could be persuaded into an Outlander easily if someone had one for sale or would trade for the camo 870 and cash.

That's might be hard to find. But there was an outlander on the sportsman for $500. You can probably get rid of that 870 pretty quick there too.

OK...
Me on a shotgun or even a fixed sight handgun I would adjust. For example my XDm hits a little low and left (no it not to little/to much thumb or anything else) I adjust my aim point accordingly.
